Provided by á-25138

Number Of Ingredients 17

3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2/3 cups nuts, optional
GLAZE
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablepsoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • With an electric mixer or stand-up mixer, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Once combined well, slowly stir in 4 tablespoons melted butter. Pour batter into a greased 9x13" baking pan. In a large bowl, mix the 2 sticks of softened butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nuts until well combined. Drop evenly over cake batter by the tablespoon and use a knife to marble/swirl through the cake. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out nearly clean from center. Place powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth. Drizzle over warm cake. Serve warm (we like it straight out of the oven) or at room temperature.

Tips:

  • For the best results, use fresh ingredients, especially the buttermilk, eggs, and butter. Cold ingredients will also help to create a flaky crust.
  • Be sure to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help to incorporate air into the dough, making it light and tender.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will develop the gluten in the flour, making the dough tough.
  • When rolling out the dough, be sure to keep it cold. This will help to prevent it from sticking to the rolling pin and countertop.
  • If the dough is too sticky to handle, chill it for a few minutes before continuing.
  • When baking the cinnamon roll cake, be sure to preheat the oven to the correct temperature. An oven that is too hot or too cold will not bake the cake properly.
  • Keep an eye on the cake while it is baking. If it starts to brown too quickly, reduce the oven temperature by 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

This Cinnabon cinnamon roll cake is a delicious and indulgent dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its soft and fluffy dough, gooey cinnamon filling, and rich cream cheese frosting, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you are looking for a special dessert to make, give this Cinnabon cinnamon roll cake a try. You won't be disappointed!
