There are many chutney recipes with either coriander or tamarind or even both ingredients but none of them has the core ingredient crushed red peppers. This chutney is spicy & sour at the same time. MANGO CHUTNEY DIP

Mango Chutney Dip image

Make and share this Mango Chutney Dip recipe from Food.com.

Provided by Sweet Pea Grandma

Categories     Spreads

Time 5m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

8 ounces cream cheese
6 tablespoons mango chutney (Major Gray recommended)
chopped walnuts, to taste (garnish)

Steps:

  • Mix first two ingredients. Top with walnuts and serve with crackers.

Tips:

  • Choose the right tomatoes: Use ripe, flavorful tomatoes for the best chutney dip. Roma tomatoes are a good option because they have a low water content and a sweet flavor.
  • Use fresh herbs and spices: Fresh herbs and spices will give your chutney dip a bright, vibrant flavor. Some good options include cilantro, mint, cumin, and coriander.
  • Don't overcook the tomatoes: Overcooked tomatoes will lose their flavor and texture. Cook them just until they are softened and slightly caramelized.
  • Let the chutney dip cool before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld and develop.
  • Serve with your favorite snacks: Chutney dip is a great appetizer or snack. Serve it with crackers, chips, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Chutney dip is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used in a variety of dishes. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Experiment with different ingredients and flavors to create your own unique chutney dip. You can try adding different fruits or vegetables, such as mango, pineapple, or zucchini. You can also add different spices, such as ginger, turmeric, or chili powder. The possibilities are endless!
