HONEY GLAZED HAM
This ham tastes very much like the famous honey baked ham but costs much less, and there's no need to fight the crowds at holiday time. You can even buy the ham presliced to make it easier and more like the original. It is very good. (I do this while preparing the rest of the meal in the kitchen so that I don't forget to baste!)

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY HAM
I make this ham at the holidays and always receive rave reviews, this ham will be the star attraction at you table --- do not use sugar-free 7-up for this, make certain before starting this that you have a large enough roasting pan with a rack that will fit into the pan, a 12-pound ham will take a bit of time to bake so make certain that you have all your other dishes made ahead of time --- if you don't want to go the extra step with the pineapple and cherries you may omit and just make the ham using the brown sugar coating :)

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325°F with a rack in lower third. Stir together honey, orange zest and juice, ginger, cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Wrap ham, fat-cap-side up, tightly in parchment-lined foil. Place on a rimmed baking sheet or in a small roasting pan.
- Bake 1 hour. Unwrap, leaving foil under ham to catch juices. Brush with some of the glaze; continue baking, uncovered, basting with more glaze every 15 minutes, until heated through, 45 minutes to 1 hour more. Brush with remaining glaze; let cool slightly. Serve warm.
Tips:
- To ensure the ham is cooked evenly, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For a fully cooked ham, the internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
- If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can check the ham's doneness by inserting a fork or skewer into the thickest part of the ham. If the juices run clear, the ham is fully cooked.
- To make a flavorful and crispy glaze, brush the ham with a mixture of brown sugar, honey, and Dijon mustard during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Garnish the ham with fresh herbs, such as parsley, thyme, or rosemary, before serving to add a pop of color and flavor.
- Serve the ham with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a green salad.
