Tips:

  • Use a sharp knife or mandoline to thinly slice the cabbage and kale. This will help the slaw to absorb the dressing better and make it easier to eat.
  • If you don't have a mandoline, you can use a food processor to shred the cabbage and kale. Just be sure to use the shredding disc and not the chopping blade.
  • Be sure to wash and dry the cabbage and kale thoroughly before chopping. This will help to prevent the slaw from getting watery.
  • If you don't have any parmesan cheese on hand, you can substitute another hard cheese, such as cheddar or Gruyère.
  • Crushed croutons add a nice crunch to the slaw. If you don't have any croutons, you can use bread cubes that have been toasted in the oven.

Conclusion:

Chopped Caesar slaw is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover cabbage and kale, and it is also a healthy and refreshing dish. The dressing is creamy and tangy, and the croutons add a nice crunch. This slaw is sure to be a hit at your next party or potluck.
