½ cup chopped walnuts
⅓ cup white sugar
¾ cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons butter, softened
⅓ cup water
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar for dusting

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch square pan.
  • In a medium bowl, cream together the 6 tablespoons of butter and 1/3 cup sugar until smooth. Stir in the flour and walnuts. Press into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • To make the topping: Beat the 2 tablespoons butter, water, cocoa, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt together in a medium bowl until smooth and shiny. Spread evenly onto the baked crust.

1 cup all-purpose flour, plus
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup coarsly chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Butter a 9" square baking pan.
  • Sift the flour, baking soda and salt together into a mixing bowl.
  • Cream butter with sugars in another bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Add coconut, chips, and walnuts and blend well.
  • Pour into pan and smooth out evenly.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minute or until top is golden brown.

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (regular, low-fat or fat-free)
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Beat butter in a large bowl until creamy. Beat flour, sugar, and salt until crumbly. With floured fingers, press 2 cups crumb mixture onto bottom of greased 13x9-inch pan, reserving remaining mixture.
  • Bake in preheated 350F oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

CRUST AND TOPPING
1/3 c brown sugar
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/3 c melted butter 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon
1 c flour

  • 1. Mix the brown sugar,nuts,flour,and melted butter together until crumbly.
  • 2. Remove 3/4 cup of mixture and set aside for later.
  • 3. place the remainder of crumb mixture in to an 8 inch square pan.press firmly in the pan. Bake at 350 degree's for 12-15 minutes.

1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp instant coffee granules-optional
3 c quick cooking oats
2 1/2 c all purpose flour

1 1/2 c chopped walnuts, divided
CHOCOLATE FILLING
1/2 c butter or margarine
2/3 c cocoa powder
1/4 c sugar
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1. Heat oven to 350. Beat butter and brown sugar until well blended. Add eggs, vanilla and instant coffee(if using), beat 'til fluffy.
