Time 30m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups frozen raspberries, thawed
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups water
1/4 cup dutch process cocoa
1 ounce semisweet chocolate, chopped

Steps:

  • Push raspberries through fine metal sieve; set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, honey, and 2 cups water.
  • Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
  • Add cocoa; cook stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, whisk in chocolate and then the raspberry puree.
  • Chill in freezer 30 minutes.
  • Freeze in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturers directions.

Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen raspberries: Fresh raspberries will give your sorbet the best flavor, but frozen raspberries will work just as well. If using frozen raspberries, thaw them slightly before using.
  • Use a high-powered blender: A high-powered blender will help you achieve a smooth and creamy sorbet. If you don't have a high-powered blender, you can use a regular blender, but you may need to blend the sorbet for a longer period of time.
  • Chill the sorbet before serving: Chilling the sorbet before serving will help it to firm up and develop its full flavor. You can chill the sorbet for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  • Serve the sorbet with your favorite toppings: Chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or fresh fruit are all great toppings for chocolate raspberry sorbet. You can also drizzle the sorbet with chocolate sauce or syrup.

Conclusion:

Chocolate raspberry sorbet is a delicious and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its rich chocolate flavor and tart raspberry notes, this sorbet is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering. So next time you are looking for a sweet treat, give this chocolate raspberry sorbet a try. You won't be disappointed!
