Time 10m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 beaten egg yolks
1 beaten egg
2 cups milk, scalded
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Combine sugar, flour, salt, egg yolks and whole egg.
  • Slowly add small amount of milk and blend; stir this mixture into the remaining milk.
  • Cook in double boiler until thick; cool.
  • Add vanilla, blend well, and pour into serving dish.
  • Chill at least 1 hour.
  • Chocolate Fluff: Gradually add powdered sugar to egg whites and beat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Slowly add melted chocolate, vanilla and salt; blend well.
  • Chill for at least an hour, then spoon over chilled pudding before serving.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your chocolate pudding fluff will be. Use real chocolate, not cocoa powder, and make sure your milk and cream are fresh.
  • Don't overcook the pudding: The pudding should be thick and creamy, but not too thick. If you overcook it, it will become rubbery.
  • Let the pudding cool completely before adding the whipped cream: This will help to prevent the whipped cream from melting.
  • Use a chilled bowl and beaters when whipping the cream: This will help to create stiff peaks.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the pudding gently: Over-mixing will cause the pudding to deflate.
  • Serve the chocolate pudding fluff immediately: It is best enjoyed fresh.

Conclusion:

Chocolate pudding fluff is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is a classic combination of chocolate and whipped cream, and it is sure to please everyone at your table. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a dessert that is both decadent and light. So next time you are looking for a special treat, try making chocolate pudding fluff.
