CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIE TREATS
Steps:
- 1. Measure out 6 cups of the Cocoa Krispies into a large bowl and set aside. Keep the last half cup ready to add when the main marshmallow mess is poured in. 2. Melt the butter in a saucepan (mine's 2 Qt. and seems to work fine). 3. Reduce heat to low and add the marshmallows, stirring occasionally. 4. When the mallows are about halfway melted, add the chocolate chips. Keep stirring. 5. When the mallows are nearly-melted tiny little blobs, add the peanut butter and yes, keep stirring. 6. Once, the gooey mixture is one solid color, remove it from the heat and pour over the large bowl of cereal. I find it helps to have an assistant to stir the cereal while you pour, making sure the cereal gets fully coated before it cools and congeals. Add the remaining half cup of cereal to any parts of the mix that are a little thin on cereal. 7. Mush the whole thing into a 9x13 pan and let it cool for at least 20 minutes. It's delicious warm, but won't keep its shape well.

Steps:
- Butter a 9- bX 13-inch pan and butter the pot and utensils you will be using to melt the marshmallows. Add 3 tablespoons of butter and the marshmallows in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until melted. When completely melted and smooth, stir in the vanilla. Turn off heat and stir in cereal until completely coated; the mixture will be sticky. Pour into buttered pan. Coat your hands with butter and press mixture into the pan firmly. Place in the refrigerator to chill. In another saucepan, place caramels and water over low heat, stirring often as caramels melt until smooth. Add 1 cup of the peanut butter to the caramel and stir until completely mixed. Pour onto the chilled Rice Krispies mixture and spread to the edges. Place pan back in the refrigerator. Over low heat, melt the chocolate in a saucepan, stirring frequently and being careful not to scorch the chocolate. When melted, add in the remaining 1/2 cup of peanut butter, stirring until smooth. Pour chocolate mixture over caramel layer, spreading to the edges in an even layer. Place dessert in the refrigerator and allow to set up for approximately 1 hour or until chocolate is firm to the touch. Cut into squares or rectangles once it is firm. Bars are easiest to cut when cold but are best eaten at room temperature or only slightly chilled.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine cereal and diced Reeses. Set aside. Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with cooking spray and set aside. In a large pot melt butter over low heat. Add karo syrup and marshmallows and stir continuously until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and add cereal mixture into the pot and fold together just until cereal is evenly coated. (Peanut butter cup pieces will fall apart as you fold together your ingredients, so don't over mix this.) Press mixture into the sprayed 9 x 13 in. pan. Set aside. In a small microwave safe bowl, add peanut butter. Microwave for 30 second to a minute to melt. Set aside to let cool slightly. In a separate small microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate at 30 second intervals, stir between intervals, until smooth. Set aside to let cool slightly. When peanut butter is cool enough to handle, transfer into a small zip lock bag. Clip a small piece out of the corner and pipe onto rice krispie treats, zig-zagging back and forth. Repeat steps with chocolate, placing in a small zip lock bag, and piping over the peanut butter. Either let treats sit at room temperature to allow chocolate to set up, or you can pop the pan into the fridge for about 5 minutes to speed up the process. Cut and serve.

Tips:
- Use good quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the treats will taste. Look for chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 70%).
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the treats tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the treats hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the treats until they are just set. Overbaking will make the treats dry and crumbly. Bake the treats for the amount of time specified in the recipe, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let the treats cool completely before serving. This will help them hold their shape and prevent them from falling apart.
Conclusion:
Chocolate peanut treats are a delicious and easy-to-make snack that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet and satisfying treat that everyone will love. Whether you are looking for a quick snack to satisfy your sweet tooth or a special treat to share with friends and family, chocolate peanut treats are sure to be a hit.
