Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas: Overripe bananas add natural sweetness and creaminess to the oatmeal filling without the need for refined sugar.
  • Don't overcook the oatmeal: The oatmeal should be cooked until it's tender but still has a slight chew to it. Overcooked oatmeal will be mushy and difficult to slice.
  • Chill the oatmeal pie before slicing: This will help the filling set and make it easier to cut clean slices.
  • Use a variety of chocolate chips: Feel free to mix and match different types of chocolate chips, such as semisweet, dark, milk, or even white chocolate chips, to create a unique flavor combination.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: A dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce are all great ways to top off a slice of chocolate oatmeal pie.

Conclusion:

Chocolate oatmeal pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that's perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate flavor, creamy oatmeal filling, and crispy oat crust, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
