1 teaspoon butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup 2% milk
1 jar (28 ounces) prepared mincemeat
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Line an 8-in. square baking pan with foil; grease foil with butter. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir in oil and milk. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Spread with mincemeat. Stir pecans into reserved crumb mixture; sprinkle over top. Bake 30-35 minutes or until topping is golden brown., Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mincemeat
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, & grease an 8" square baking dish.
  • In bowl, whisk flour with baking powder & salt.
  • With electric mixer, in another bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, egg & vanilla until light & fluffy.
