Steps:
- 1. Heat milk until bubbles begin to form around the edges of the saucepan. Remove from heat and add the chips and whisk to combine and blend. Pour into the chocolate cookie crust, spreading evenly; put in freezer until set , about 20 minutes.
- 2. Preheat broiler. Whip egg whites until frothy. Slowly add the sugar, beating until stiff peak form, about 3 minutes. Beat in the vanilla and marshmallow cream. Spoon mixture over the chocolate,Make sure you cover all the way to the edges of the crust.
- 3. In a preheated broiler, place pie on the middle rack of the oven and broil until the top is lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Garnish top with mini chocolate chips. Cool 15 minutes before slicing.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70% is ideal.
- Make sure the egg whites are at room temperature before whipping them. This will help them whip up more easily and create a stiffer meringue.
- Do not over-whip the egg whites. Over-whipped egg whites will become grainy and difficult to work with.
- Fold the chocolate mixture into the meringue gently. Over-mixing will deflate the meringue and make the tart less airy.
- Bake the tart in a preheated oven. This will help to prevent the tart from cracking.
- Let the tart cool completely before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the tart to set properly.
Conclusion:
This chocolate meringue tart is a delicious and impressive dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its rich chocolate flavor and creamy meringue topping, this tart is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
