Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 c cold milk
1-1/2 c chocolate ice cream, softened
2 box 4 serving size vanilla or chocolate instant pudding
1 graham cracker pie crust (6oz)

Steps:

  • 1. Thoroughly blend milk and ice cream in a bowl. Add pudding mixes, gradually blend slowly on low speed for approximately one minute.
  • 2. Pour immediately into the pie shell. Chill until set (1 hour or more). Can be put into the freezer for a quicker set.

Tips:

- For a richer chocolate flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 60%. - To prevent the pie crust from becoming soggy, pre-bake it in the oven before filling it. - If you don't have a springform pan, you can use a regular 9-inch pie plate. Just trim the excess pie dough from the edges. - Make sure the chocolate ice cream is softened before spreading it on the pie crust. This will help it spread evenly and smoothly. - To make the whipped cream topping, use heavy cream that has been chilled for at least 30 minutes. This will help it whip up quickly and easily. - If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a spoon to dollop the whipped cream onto the pie. - Serve the pie immediately, or store it in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

This chocolate ice cream pudding pie is the perfect dessert for any occasion. It's rich, decadent, and sure to please everyone at the table. With its Oreo cookie crust, chocolate ice cream filling, and whipped cream topping, it's a chocolate lover's dream come true. So next time you're looking for a special dessert to make, give this chocolate ice cream pudding pie a try. You won't be disappointed!
