Steps:
- 1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients for chocolate chip cookies in the order listed above. Divide into two parts and set aside.
- 2. In a second bowl, mix all cream cheese filling ingredients until smooth.
- 3. Spread one part of cookie dough on the bottom of greased 13 X 9 pan. (Mine measures 13 3/4 by 9 1/2). It will help if your hands are wet, otherwise, the dough will stick to your fingers.
- 4. Pour the cream cheese filling over the cookie dough.
- 5. Top the filling with the remaining dough by creating dabs of dough (or little pancakes of dough). Once again it will help if your fingers are wet.
- 6. Bake at 350 F for about 50 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
- 7. Cool and divide into bite-size pieces (about 40 or so). Enjoy it as much as we do!
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate: The type of chocolate you use will greatly impact the flavor of your brownies. Opt for a good-quality semisweet or bittersweet chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 60%.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will result in tough, dense brownies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached. Overbaking will result in dry, crumbly brownies.
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them: This will help prevent them from falling apart.
- Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Conclusion:
These chocolate cream cheese brownies are a delicious and decadent treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their rich chocolate flavor, creamy cheesecake filling, and fudgy texture, these brownies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
