1 pkg Cherry Flavored Gelatin (3 oz.)
2/3 Cup Boiling Water
4 Ice Cubes
2 Containers Whipped Topping, Thawed (8 oz.)
1 Store-Bought Chocolate Crust (6 oz.)
Optional Garnish: jumbo maraschino cherries.

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine gelatin mix and the boiling water. Stir until combined completely.
  • Add about 4 ice cubes and stir until melted.
  • Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove the bowl from the refrigerator and immediately mix one of the whipped topping containers.
  • Whisk until fully combined.
  • Pour this entire filling into the store bought pie crust and spread evenly.
  • Spread or pipe with a frosting bag and tip, the second container of whipped topping on top of the entire pie.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate curls or mini chocolate chips on top of the pie.
  • Cover and store in the refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.
  • Optional garnish idea: add a jumbo maraschino cherry or cherries on top.

1 3/4 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cups whipped dream whipped topping (1 envelope)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (28 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Prepare a 9 x 9" baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tbsp sugar; spread on bottom of prepared baking pan to form a crust.
  • Mix the Dream Whip topping according to directions on the package, then beat in the softened cream cheese into the Dream Whip a little at a time.
  • Add the remaining sugar and vanilla until well blended.
  • Smooth on top of the crust.
