This is a favorite around the Holidays. I'm not sure where the recipe came from - off of the can of sweetened condensed milk or the chocolate chips (for the basic Fudge). I just know it is so easy to make! And the addition of the cherries and nuts makes it oh so delicious!

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
dash of salt
1 c pecans, chopped

Tips:

  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: This will help to prevent the fudge from scorching.
  • Do not stir the fudge while it is cooking: Stirring can cause the fudge to crystallize.
  • Use a candy thermometer to reach the correct temperature: The fudge is done when it reaches 234 degrees Fahrenheit (112 degrees Celsius).
  • Do not overcook the fudge: Overcooked fudge will be too hard and brittle.
  • Let the fudge cool completely before cutting it: This will help to prevent the fudge from crumbling.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature: Fudge will keep for up to two weeks.
