2 teaspoons McCormick® vanilla extract
12 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
½ teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Line an 8-by-8-inch (20 x 20 cm) baking dish with parchment paper, allowing extra parchment to hang over the edges.

Tips:

  • Use good quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the pie will taste. Look for chocolate with a high cocoa content (70% or higher) and avoid chocolate that contains vegetable oils or artificial flavors.
  • Chop the chocolate finely. This will help it melt evenly and smoothly. You can use a sharp knife or a food processor to chop the chocolate.
  • Don't overbake the pie. The pie is done when the center is just set. If you overbake it, the filling will become dry and crumbly.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the filling to firm up and the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the pie with whipped cream, ice cream, or fresh berries. This will add a delicious finishing touch to the pie.

Conclusion:

Chocolate bar pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate filling and flaky crust, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give chocolate bar pie a try. You won't be disappointed!
