CHOCOLATE BANANA BUNDLES

Banana and chocolate is such an irresistible combo that I make this quick dessert often. You can also top these tasty bundles with the butter and brown sugar mixture left over from coating the bananas, or sprinkle on a dash of sea salt. -Thomas Faglon, Somerset, New Jersey

CHOCOLATE BANANA BUNDLES

Chocolate Banana Bundles image

Another recipe I saved from my TOH Magazine (by Thomas Faglon), but I haven't tried it yet, posting for safe keeping. I think I would use the pre-made puff pastry shells and, therefore, slice the banana up before adding to the brown sugar/butter mixture, then add it to the shells and bake. You could even make this easier by using hot fudge topping.

Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas: Overripe bananas have a sweeter flavor and will blend more easily, resulting in a smoother batter.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the muffins tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Fill the muffin cups only 2/3 full: This will prevent the muffins from overflowing.
  • Bake the muffins at a high temperature: This will help them rise quickly and develop a golden brown crust.
  • Let the muffins cool completely before serving: This will give them time to set and develop their full flavor.

Conclusion:

Chocolate banana muffins are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. They are also a great way to use up overripe bananas. With their moist texture, sweet banana flavor, and rich chocolate chips, these muffins are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
