Steps:
- Sprinkle your rolling surface with a handful of flour or cornmeal. Place dough directly in the middle of the surface. Roll dough out gently 1/4-inch thick, into either a 12-inch rectangle or circle. Brush both sides with olive oil and set aside until ready to grill.
- Place dough in the center of the cooking grate, directly over the heat for one to three minutes, until the crust is well marked and browned. Flip dough and spread hoisin sauce evenly over cooked side of crust. Spread chicken, scallions, cilantro, and bell pepper evenly over crust. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Move to Indirect heat (for charcoal: the side of charcoal grill that has no coals. For gas: turn off burner directly under pizza). Cover grill and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until bottom is well browned, and cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from grill, season with salt and pepper, and slice. Serve immediately.
CHINESE CHICKEN PIZZA
The ingredients may seem unusual, but one bite, and you'll keep coming back for more!! Definitely not the traditional American pizza, very nice when you just want something "a little different". The combination of flavors is extraordinary! I use part-skim mozzarella to keep the fat-content low. Usually serve this with a green salad, but as I think of it, egg rolls would also be a great side! Sometimes I add veggies (onions, green pepper, mushrooms, etc.) before baking. MMM!

CHINESE-STYLE CHICKEN PIZZA APPETIZER
This is the finger food that I took to the tailgating get together this weekend. Hadn't made them in a while and had about 6 people request the recipe, the sign of a popular recipe.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 375-degrees. Unroll crescent rolls and piece together on a jelly roll baking sheet. Pinch seams together and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and sesame seeds. Bake crust for 12-14 minutes, or until crust is lightly browned. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes while you mix the topping.
- 2. In food processor fitted with blade, process green onions until finely minced. Add chicken and pulse until chicken is finely diced. Add cream cheese, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder and hot sauce. Process until mixture is smooth and creamy. Spread cream cheese mixture on prepared crust. Top with spinach, carrots, red pepper, peanuts and sesame seeds. Drizzle with sweet and sour sauce. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours. Cut into squares to serve.
Tips:
- Use a store-bought pizza dough or make your own if you have time.
- For the chicken filling, you can use leftover cooked chicken or cook some fresh chicken breasts or thighs.
- Shred the chicken into small pieces so that it is easy to spread on the pizza.
- Use a variety of vegetables for the filling, such as bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
- For the sauce, you can use a store-bought marinara sauce or make your own by simmering tomatoes, garlic, and herbs.
- Top the pizza with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake it in a preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve the pizza hot with your favorite toppings, such as sliced green onions, cilantro, or chili sauce.
