SPICY CHILI WITH BEANS

Spicy Chili With Beans image

I found this in a crock pot cookbook. The original recipe doesn't call for corn, but I added it anyway. If you don't like it so spicy, don't add so much chili powder and/or pepper. We never use the salt; I used it the first time and we couldn't taste it anyway.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of beans. This will give your salad a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, and chickpeas.
  • Rinse and sort the beans before cooking. This will remove any dirt or debris and help to ensure that the beans cook evenly.
  • Cook the beans until they are tender, but not mushy. The cooking time will vary depending on the type of bean you are using, so be sure to follow the package directions.
  • Let the beans cool completely before adding them to the salad. This will help to prevent the salad from becoming watery.
  • Use a flavorful dressing. A simple vinaigrette or a creamy dressing made with Greek yogurt or avocado are both good options.
  • Add some fresh herbs or vegetables to the salad. This will brighten up the flavor and add some extra nutrients.

Conclusion:
