CHILI POWDER-ROASTED CHICKPEAS

Chili Powder-Roasted Chickpeas image

I make this a lot. Great as a snack, you can give it any flavour you like by using different spices. When I am in a hurry I make it from canned chickpeas, otherwise I use dried chickpeas. Cooking time does not include soaking and cooking dried chickpeas.

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon chili powder

  • Drain and proceed as follows.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Grease baking sheet with the oil.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chickpeas: Use dried chickpeas for the best flavor and texture. If using canned chickpeas, rinse and drain them thoroughly before roasting.
  • Roast the chickpeas properly: Preheat the oven to the correct temperature and roast the chickpeas for the recommended amount of time. This will help ensure that they are crispy and flavorful.

  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Be sure to spread the chickpeas out in a single layer on the baking sheet. This will help them roast evenly.
  • Let the chickpeas cool before serving: This will help them to crisp up and make them easier to handle.
