SPINACH, CHICKEN, AND WILD RICE SOUP (SLOW COOKER)

Spinach, Chicken, and Wild Rice Soup (Slow Cooker) image

This soup is easy to throw together. If you don't have pre-cooked chicken, I think it would work to add whole, uncooked chicken breasts at the beginning, then pull them out and cut them up before adding the spinach. From Better Homes & Gardens.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your soup. Look for organic, free-range chicken, and wild rice that has been harvested recently.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: If you add too much chicken or rice to the pot, it will be difficult for the flavors to meld and the soup will be watery. Add the ingredients in batches, if necessary.
  • Simmer the soup for at least 30 minutes: This will allow the flavors to develop and deepen. You can simmer the soup for longer if you have time, but don't boil it, as this will make the chicken tough.
  • Add the spinach at the end of cooking: Spinach cooks quickly, so adding it at the end will prevent it from becoming overcooked and wilted.
  • Season the soup to taste: Taste the soup before serving and add more salt, pepper, or herbs, as desired.

Conclusion:

Chicken wild rice soup is a hearty, flavorful soup that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is also a relatively easy soup to make, making it a great option for busy weeknights. With its combination of chicken, wild rice, vegetables, and herbs, this soup is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a delicious and satisfying soup, give chicken wild rice soup a try.
