Indulge in a culinary journey with our exceptional chicken pita pockets, a delightful treat that combines the flavors of juicy chicken, crisp vegetables, and fluffy pita bread. This recipe offers two tantalizing variations: a classic rendition and a tangy tzatziki version.
The classic chicken pita pocket bursts with succulent chicken seasoned with a harmonious blend of herbs and spices. Nestled within the soft pita bread, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and creamy avocado add a refreshing contrast. A drizzle of tangy lemon-tahini sauce brings it all together, creating a symphony of flavors in every bite.
For those seeking a more vibrant experience, the tzatziki chicken pita pocket is a must-try. Marinated chicken is grilled to perfection and complemented by a cooling tzatziki sauce made from Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and herbs. Fresh parsley and a sprinkling of feta cheese add an extra layer of flavor and texture, making each bite an explosion of Mediterranean delight.
Whether you prefer the classic or tzatziki version, these chicken pita pockets are a culinary adventure that will tantalize your taste buds. Join us as we embark on a step-by-step guide to creating these delectable treats in the comfort of your own kitchen.

MOROCCAN CHICKEN PITA POCKETS
Looking for something different, delicious, and a little exotic? Its not everyday you hear people say "Last night I had a Moroccan style sandwich". This recipe is a combo of the usual suspects such as chicken, plums, pita bread, hummus, and some popular spices. An interesting but surprising combo that I know you will love if you give it a chance! This recipe really doesn't require measurments. (No one uses measurements when making a sandwich.) You can put out all of the ingredients buffet style and people can make them up how they like. As far as the veggies (and plums) go, you can either choose to serve them fresh OR cooked by sauteing in olive oil.

Tips:
- Choose the right chicken: For the best results, use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. If you're using chicken breasts, be sure to slice them thinly so that they cook evenly.
- Marinate the chicken: Marinating the chicken in a flavorful mixture of herbs, spices, and olive oil will help to keep it moist and juicy. You can marinate the chicken for as little as 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Cook the chicken properly: The chicken should be cooked until it is cooked through but still tender and juicy. Depending on the method you're using, this could take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes.
- Use fresh pita bread: Fresh pita bread will give you the best results. If you can't find fresh pita bread, you can use store-bought pita bread that has been warmed up in the oven.
- Load up the pockets: Don't be shy about loading up the pita pockets with fillings. You can add as much or as little as you like.
- Serve warm: Chicken pita pockets are best served warm. You can serve them immediately after they're made, or you can keep them warm in a low oven until you're ready to serve.
Conclusion:
Chicken pita pockets are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, or a snack. They're a great way to use up leftover chicken, and they're also a fun and creative way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. With so many different variations to choose from, you're sure to find a chicken pita pocket recipe that you'll love.
