Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect balance of flavors, use a high-quality lemon. Meyer lemons are recommended for their sweet and floral notes, but regular lemons can also be used.
  • For a crispy and golden-brown topping, use Panko breadcrumbs. If you don't have Panko, you can use regular breadcrumbs, but they may not get as crispy.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese adds a nutty and salty flavor to the casserole. If you don't have Parmesan, you can use another hard cheese, such as Asiago or Romano.
  • To ensure that the chicken is cooked through, use a meat thermometer to check that it has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • If you want a creamier casserole, you can add a small amount of heavy cream or sour cream to the sauce.
  • Serve the casserole immediately with a side of roasted vegetables or a salad for a complete meal.

Conclusion:

This chicken broccoli lemon casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The combination of tender chicken, crisp-tender broccoli, and creamy lemon sauce is sure to please everyone at the table.
