Tips:

  • Use fresh cherries for the best flavor. Fresh cherries have a more intense flavor than frozen or canned cherries, and they will also hold their shape better when baked.
  • If you don't have fresh cherries, you can use frozen or canned cherries. Just be sure to thaw frozen cherries before using and drain canned cherries well.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookies at a moderate temperature. A moderate temperature will help the cookies bake evenly without browning too much.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before frosting. The cookies will be easier to frost and the frosting will set better if the cookies are completely cool.

Conclusion:

Cherry winks cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or simply as a snack. With their sweet and tangy flavor and their chewy texture, cherry winks cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
