1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup red candied cherries, halved
1 cup green candied cherries, halved
1 cup pecan halves

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add flour; mix well. Stir in cherries and pecans. Chill 1 hour. , Shape dough into three 10-in.-long logs; wrap securely and place in a freezer bag. Freeze until ready to bake, or up to 2 months., To bake, cut frozen logs into 1/8-in. slices, and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 325° until edges are golden brown, 10-12 minutes. 3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup unsweetened finely shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
FROSTING:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup 2% milk
1 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix cracker crumbs, marshmallows, coconut and cherries; stir in condensed milk and flavoring. Press into a greased 8-in. square baking pan., For frosting, in a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir 3 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl; cool until lukewarm, about 15 minutes. Stir in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread over crumb mixture; refrigerate until set, about 1-1/2 hours., Cut into bars. 1 cup unsalted butter
3 cups flour
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
powdered sugar
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Steps:

  • Cream butter thoroughly.
  • Add sugar and beat well.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla.
  • Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients gradually, beating well.
  • Spread on a large 11x17 inch greased pan, saving a little more than a cup of batter on the side.

1 cup real butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups candied red cherries or 1 1/2 cups green glazed cherries, halved
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Combine butter, sugar, powdered sugar, egg and vanilla in large mixer bowl.
  • Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  • Reduce speed to low and add 2 1/4 cups flour.
  • Mix well.
  • Combine cherries and 1 tablespoon flour in small bowl; toss to coat.
  • Stir in cherry mixture and pecans by hand.
  • Cover dough and refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Shape dough into three 10 x 1 1/2-inch rolls on lightly floured waxed paper.
