Tips:
- Fresh cherries are always best for cherry pie cake, but frozen cherries can also be used. If using frozen cherries, thaw them before using and drain off any excess liquid.
- Be sure to pit the cherries before using them in the cake batter. A cherry pitter can make this task quick and easy.
- For a sweeter cake, use more sugar in the batter. For a tarter cake, use less sugar.
- To make sure the cake is cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done baking.
- Let the cake cool completely before serving. This will help the flavors to develop and the cake to set properly.
Conclusion:
Cherry pie cake is a delicious and classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its sweet and tart flavor, and its flaky crust, it's sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give cherry pie cake a try. You won't be disappointed!
