ORANGE CHERRY LEMONADE

Orange Cherry Lemonade image

Completely refreshing change of pace to the usual lemonade. The marashino cherry juice adds a delicious color & flavor, and the little bit of fresh squeezed orange & lemon really add to the refreshing homemade taste.

Categories     Punch Beverage

Time 10m

Yield 1 GALLON

Number Of Ingredients 7

2/3 cup lemon juice
2 lemons
2 oranges
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cup cherry juice (from jar of marashino cherries)
2 cups sugar
water

Steps:

  • In a GALLON jug (empty milk or water container), fill container about 1/4 full with HOT water& add sugar.
  • (This helps sugar dissolve immediately).
  • Add remaining ingredients, squeezing juice from the lemons& oranges as well.
  • Cut 1 each lemon& orange into thin slices (use the ones you previously squeezed the juice out of) and add slices into container.
  • (The oils from the skins add alot of flavor.) Fill container with cold water, shake,& serve over ice!
  • ~Yummyyyyyy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh cherries: Fresh cherries will give your lemonade a more vibrant flavor. If you can't find fresh cherries, you can use frozen cherries, but be sure to thaw them before using.
  • Don't overcook the cherries: Overcooked cherries will lose their flavor and become mushy. Cook them just until they are softened and have released their juices.
  • Use a citrus juicer: A citrus juicer will make it easy to extract the juice from the lemons. If you don't have a citrus juicer, you can use a lemon squeezer or a fork to squeeze the juice out of the lemons.
  • Sweeten to taste: The amount of sugar you add to your lemonade is up to you. Taste the lemonade and add sugar until it is as sweet as you like it.
  • Chill the lemonade before serving: Chilled lemonade is more refreshing and delicious. You can chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving, or you can chill it in the freezer for a slushy texture.

Conclusion:

Cherry lemonade is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a refreshing drink, give cherry lemonade a try!
