CHERRY CRUNCH PIE
This recipe was given to me many years ago. I brought it to a company function once and it was requested for the next 15 years. Not your traditional "Pie", but a great mix of textures. Warning.... if you're on a diet, pass on this one.

Tips:
- For a sweeter filling, use 1/2 cup granulated sugar instead of 1/4 cup.
- To make the crunch topping even more flavorful, add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg.
- If you don't have a pastry blender, you can use two knives to cut the butter into the flour mixture.
- Be sure to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will make it easier to work with and will prevent it from shrinking in the oven.
- When assembling the pie, be sure to leave a 1-inch border of dough around the edge. This will help to prevent the filling from bubbling over.
- Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let the pie cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. This will allow the filling to set.
