Tips:
- For the best flavor, use fresh cherries. If fresh cherries are unavailable, you can use frozen or canned cherries, but be sure to thaw and drain them before using.
- If you don't have a cherry pitter, you can use a paring knife to remove the pits from the cherries.
- Be sure to chill the cake balls for at least 30 minutes before dipping them in chocolate. This will help the chocolate set more quickly and evenly.
- If you want to make the cake balls ahead of time, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
