Tips:

  • Soften your butter to room temperature: This will make it easier to cream together with the sugars and help the cookies achieve a light and fluffy texture.
  • Use fresh or frozen cherries: If using fresh cherries, be sure to pit them before using. Frozen cherries can be used without thawing.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Use a cookie scoop to portion the dough: This will help ensure that the cookies are all the same size and shape.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown: The centers of the cookies should still be slightly soft.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving: This will help them to set and firm up.

Conclusion:

These cherry chip cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With their chewy texture, sweet cherry flavor, and hints of chocolate, they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
