CHEF JOHN'S ITALIAN MEATBALLS
Homemade meatballs are a very easy to make, and since we skip the very messy step of pan-frying these before they hit the sauce, it becomes downright simple. Here I use a standard half-beef/half-pork mixture. You can substitute water or beef broth for the milk, if preferred.

CHEF JOHN'S RICOTTA MEATBALLS
Ricotta-spiked meatballs are so tender, so flavorful, and so delicious. There are hardly any ingredients. Of course we're going to throw this over some spaghetti, because we're Americans and that's what we do with meatballs.

Tips:
- For the best flavor, use a combination of ground beef and pork. You can also use all beef or all pork, but the combination of the two meats gives the meatballs a more complex flavor.
- Be sure to season the meatballs well with salt and pepper. You can also add other spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika, to taste.
- Don't overcook the meatballs. They should be cooked through, but still tender and juicy. Overcooked meatballs will be tough and dry.
- Serve the meatballs with your favorite Swedish meatball sauce. You can also serve them with mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.
- If you don't have time to make your own Swedish meatball sauce, you can use a jarred sauce instead. Just be sure to choose a sauce that is flavorful and has a good consistency.
Conclusion:
Swedish meatballs are a classic dish that is enjoyed by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be served with a variety of sides. Whether you are making them for a special occasion or just a weeknight meal, Swedish meatballs are sure to be a hit.
