  • To quickly thaw frozen puff pastry, place it in a single layer on a baking sheet in a preheated 200°F oven for 5-10 minutes, or until thawed but still cold to the touch.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the puff pastry dough, as a dull knife will tear the dough and make it difficult to work with.
  • To prevent the puff pastry from sticking to the baking sheet, line the sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Be sure to prick the puff pastry with a fork before baking to allow steam to escape and prevent the pastry from puffing up too much.
  • For a golden brown and flaky crust, brush the puff pastry with an egg wash before baking.
  • For a more flavorful filling, brown the sausage in a skillet with some chopped onion and garlic before adding it to the puff pastry.
  • You can also add other ingredients to the filling, such as chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, or cheese.
  • Serve the cheesy sausage cocktail squares warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

Cheesy sausage cocktail squares are a delicious and easy-to-make party appetizer. With a flaky puff pastry crust, a flavorful sausage filling, and a gooey cheese topping, these squares are sure to be a hit with your guests.
