Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 Tbsp olive oil ((extra virgin))
1 1/2 lb sirloin steak tips ((cut into bite size cubes))
1/2 Tbsp steak seasoning
1 sprig rosemary ((and/or fresh thyme))
1 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • Bring a large frying pan, skillet, or griddle with the olive oil to high heat. The oil should begin to shimmer, and should be just starting to smoke.
  • Season the steak tips with steak seasoning, then add the cubed sirloin steak tips along with herbs for aromatics. Cook for about 4 minutes, or until all sides are browned. If you are using a small pan, cook the meat in batches to prevent over crowding the meat.
  • Just before serving, add the tablespoon portion pat of butter and baste the melted butter over the cooked steak tips for about 30 seconds. Serve immediately. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

CHEESE BITES (TOTALLY ADDICTIVE)

Cheese Bites (Totally Addictive) image

Ridiculously addictive appetizers. I brought them to a party and everyone attacked them like starving piranha on a cow. I included them in a tin of cookies for my hubby's co-workers and one of them ate all of them before anyone else could try them. She also demanded the recipe. From the cookbook "Fix, Freeze, Feast" by Katie Neville and Lindsey Tkacsik. Make them ahead of time, keep in your freezer and bake what you need. I plan to have these on hand all the time.

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the flavor of your dish. Whenever possible, use fresh, organic ingredients.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the beef bites, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Cook the beef bites in batches: If you have a lot of beef bites to cook, cook them in batches. This will help ensure that they are all cooked evenly.
  • Don't overcook the beef bites: Beef bites are best when they are cooked medium-rare or medium. Overcooking them will make them tough and chewy.
  • Use a variety of herbs and spices: The herbs and spices you use in this recipe can be adjusted to your own personal preference. Feel free to experiment with different combinations to create a flavor profile that you love.
  • Serve the beef bites immediately: Cheesy herb and beef bites are best served immediately after they are cooked. This will ensure that the cheese is melted and gooey and the beef bites are hot and juicy.
