CHILI CHEESE DOG DIP RECIPE - (4/5)

Chili Cheese Dog Dip Recipe - (4/5) image

Provided by Nicole S

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 package crescent roll dough
1 package cocktail wieners
1 package cream cheese
1 large can Hormel chili
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese plus extra for topping

Steps:

  • Unwrap crescent dough and cut each triangle into 3 strips. Roll cocktail wieners up into dough strips and place around the edge of a round baking dish and set aside. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, chili and cheddar. Place mixture in center of the dish. Sprinkle some extra cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve while hot. Grab a wrapped dog and dip it in the chili cheese dip!

Tips:

  • Choose the right chili: A good chili should be thick and flavorful, with a good balance of meat, beans, and spices. If you're using a store-bought chili, look for one that is made with high-quality ingredients and has a good amount of heat.
  • Use good quality cheese: The cheese is a key ingredient in these chili dogs, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that melts well. A sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese are both good options.
  • Don't overcook the chili dogs: The chili dogs should be cooked until the crescent roll is golden brown and the cheese is melted, but be careful not to overcook them, or the crescent roll will become dry and crumbly.
  • Serve the chili dogs immediately: These chili dogs are best served immediately, while the crescent roll is still warm and flaky. You can serve them with additional chili, cheese, or sour cream, if desired.

Conclusion:

These cheesy chili dog wrapped in crescent roll are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or meal. They're perfect for a party or a potluck, and they're sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
