Tips:

  • Mise en place: As with most cooking, having all your ingredients prepped and measured before you start cooking will make the process much smoother.
  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your dish will taste. This is especially true for the chicken, salsa, and cheese.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the chicken will not cook evenly and will likely steam instead of brown.
  • Cook the chicken in batches: If you are using a large amount of chicken, it is best to cook it in batches. This will ensure that the chicken cooks evenly.
  • Use a good quality salsa: The salsa is a key ingredient in this dish, so it is important to use a good quality salsa that you enjoy the taste of.
  • Add the cheese at the end: Adding the cheese at the end will help it to melt evenly and prevent it from becoming rubbery.
  • Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately after it is cooked. The chicken will be at its juiciest and the cheese will be at its meltiest.

Conclusion:

This cheesy chicken salsa skillet is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is sure to please the whole family. It is packed with flavor and can be easily customized to your own taste. Serve it with your favorite sides, such as rice, beans, or tortillas, and enjoy!
