Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp. They hold their shape better during baking.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture: Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a loaf pan with a nonstick coating: This will help the meatloaf come out of the pan easily.
  • Bake the meatloaf in a preheated oven: This will help the meatloaf cook evenly.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meatloaf, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

This cheesy apple and oat meatloaf is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its combination of ground beef, apples, oats, and cheddar cheese, this meatloaf is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
