Categories     Beef

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 pounds ground beef
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 can condensed tomato soup, 10.75 ounces
1/4 cup of water
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp dried Italian Seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
8 hamburger buns
8 slices american cheese

Steps:

  • 1. In a very large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over a medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in soup, water, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic and pepper. 2. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened. Reserve half of the mixture (2.5 cups) for Quick Shepherd's Pie. Divide the remaining mixture among the bun bottoms and top with cheese slices and bun tops.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the taste of your cheeseburger sandwiches.
  • Grind your own beef. This will give you more control over the quality and flavor of the meat.
  • Season the beef well. Don't be afraid to use plenty of salt and pepper, as well as your favorite herbs and spices.
  • Cook the burgers to your desired doneness. If you like your burgers rare or medium-rare, cook them for less time. If you prefer them well-done, cook them for longer.
  • Use a good quality cheese. A sharp cheddar or American cheese will melt well and add a lot of flavor to your cheeseburger sandwiches.
  • Toast the buns. This will give them a nice crunch and help them hold up to the juicy burgers and toppings.
  • Add your favorite toppings. Classic toppings include lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. You can also get creative and add other toppings, such as bacon, avocado, or mushrooms.
