CLOSEST THING TO SUBWAY'S ITALIAN HERBS & CHEESE BREAD

Closest Thing to Subway's Italian Herbs & Cheese Bread image

At least this is the closest one you'll be able to find. Most likely. It's not going to look like they're bread, but I heard if you freeze it, let it sit out for a bit, roll it and then put it in regular bread pans in the oven and cook it to about 350 it should turn out closer to it...... But I'm too scared to try that, if you try it and you like it let me know! This recipe came from MC-Recipe Digest V1 #583 by Barbara Zack on Apr 21, 1997.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid any scrambling.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Whenever possible, use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and texture. This is especially important for the cheese, as it is the star of the show.
  • Don't Overcook the Cheese: Cheese can quickly become rubbery and tough if it is overcooked. Keep an eye on it and remove it from the heat as soon as it is melted and bubbly.
  • Experiment with Different Cheeses: There are many different types of cheese that can be used in this recipe, so feel free to experiment until you find one that you love. Some good options include sharp cheddar, mozzarella, Gruyère, and Parmesan.
  • Serve Immediately: This dish is best served immediately, while the cheese is still melted and gooey. You can garnish it with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of paprika for extra flavor.

Conclusion:

This cheese thing is a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for any occasion. It is cheesy, gooey, and delicious, and it is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you are looking for a simple yet satisfying dish, give this cheese thing a try. You won't be disappointed!
