- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Mix sugar, oil, and almond extract together in a large bowl until well blended.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in another bowl; stir into sugar mixture until combined. Beat in 1/2 of the cherries using an electric mixer until moistened. Fold in remaining cherries. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

EASY CHERRY CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare brownie mix according to package directions using the oil, water, and eggs.
- Mix the chocolate chips into the batter and then fold in the cherry pie filling until combined.
- Line a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Spread batter into the pan.
- Bake in the lined 9 x 13 inch baking pan according to package directions until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. This may take a little longer than listed on the box. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled frosting this frosting and cut into 18 squares. Makes 18 brownies.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- 2. In a medium bowl; mix brownie mix, oil, eggs and water. I just whisk till smooth. Pour into prepared pan, and bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until pick comes out clean; 2 inches from the side of pan. Let cool on a cooling rack for at least 30 minutes.
- 3. Now, make filling: Place cream cheese, almond extract and frosting in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
- 4. Once brownies have cooled; spread filling evenly. Chill for a couple hours.
- 5. Spread cherry pie filling evenly on top of the cream cheese layer. ( Sometimes I use 2 cans of filling, if I want more cherries, as theirs not a lot in one of those cans.) Cut into squares and serve. I hope you enjoy these delicious brownies!
CHERRY-FUDGE BROWNIES WITH CHOCOLATE SAUCE AND CHOCOLATE-DIPPED CHERRIES

- Make sauce:
- Press preserves through fine strainer into heavy medium saucepan. Add cream and bring to simmer. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and whisk until melted and smooth. (Can be made 2 days ahead. Cover; chill. Rewarm before serving.)
- Make brownies:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter 11 x 7-inch metal baking pan. Stir chopped chocolate and butter in heavy small saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth; remove from heat. Whisk sugar, eggs and vanilla in medium bowl until blended; whisk in chocolate mixture. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt; stir to blend. Mix in dried cherries and chocolate chips, then preserves. Spread batter in prepared pan.
- Bake brownies until tester inserted into center comes out with some moist crumbs still attached, about 35 minutes. Cool completely in pan on rack.
- Cut brownies into 8 rectangles. Cut rectangles diagonally in half, forming triangles. Spoon warm sauce onto 8 plates. Place 2 brownie triangles atop sauce on each plate. Sift powdered sugar over. Garnish with chocolate-dipped cherries.
