Tips:

  • Use fresh lump crab meat for the best flavor and texture. Avoid using canned or frozen crab meat, as it will not yield the same results.
  • Grate the cheddar cheese yourself for a more even distribution of flavor throughout the crab bites.
  • Be careful not to overmix the crab mixture, as this will make the crab bites tough.
  • Chill the crab mixture for at least 30 minutes before forming the crab bites. This will help the mixture to firm up and make it easier to handle.
  • Use a medium-high heat when cooking the crab bites. This will help to create a crispy outer coating while keeping the inside of the crab bites moist.
  • Serve the crab bites hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, or remoulade.

Conclusion:

Cheddar crab bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion.
