1 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1 cup milk
1 pinch cayenne
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 1/4 cups coarsely grated sharp cheddar cheese
