CHEDDAR CHEESE POPCORN

Time 5m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup Cheddar cheese powder, plus 1 tablespoon
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 cups popped popcorn
Salt and pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the butter, Cheddar cheese powder, mustard powder, cayenne pepper and the popcorn. Season with salt and pepper, to taste and toss to combine. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Use fresh popcorn kernels. Fresh kernels will pop better and have a better flavor than old kernels.
  • Heat the oil over medium heat. If the oil is too hot, the popcorn will burn. If the oil is too cold, the popcorn will not pop.
  • Add the popcorn kernels to the oil. Do not overcrowd the pot. If you add too many kernels, they will not pop properly.
  • Cover the pot and shake it frequently. This will help to distribute the heat evenly and prevent the popcorn from burning.
  • Listen for the popping to slow down. When the popping slows down to about 2-3 seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat.
  • Pour the popcorn into a large bowl. Add the melted butter and cheddar cheese powder. Toss to coat.
  • Enjoy!

Conclusion:

Cheddar cheese popcorn is a delicious and easy-to-make snack. It is perfect for parties, movie nights, or just a quick snack. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make your own cheddar cheese popcorn at home in minutes. So next time you are looking for a snack, give cheddar cheese popcorn a try.
