Tips:

  • Choose a Good Apple: Use a firm, tart apple that holds its shape when baked, such as Granny Smith, Braeburn, or Honeycrisp.
  • Don't Overmix the Batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense bread. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use Freshly Grated Cheddar Cheese: Pre-shredded cheese often contains additives that can prevent it from melting smoothly.
  • Toast the Nuts: Toasting nuts enhances their flavor and makes them more fragrant.
  • Let the Bread Cool Completely Before Slicing: This will help to prevent the bread from crumbling.
