Charoset, a sweet and symbolic dish served during the Jewish holiday of Passover, holds a prominent place at the Seder table, where it is eaten to commemorate the mortar used by enslaved Israelites during their time in ancient Egypt. With variations spanning different Jewish communities and families, charoset boasts a diverse range of recipes.

The Ashkenazi charoset, a popular version, combines chopped walnuts, apples, and cinnamon, resulting in a chunky and flavorful mixture. Sephardic charoset, on the other hand, features a smoother texture, achieved by blending dates, nuts, and spices into a paste. Moroccan charoset takes a unique turn with the addition of dried fruits and fragrant orange zest. For those seeking a more traditional taste, the Yemenite charoset offers a blend of dates, honey, and spices, capturing the essence of this ancient dish.
