Tips:

  • Choose the right tuna steaks. Look for steaks that are at least 1 inch thick and have a deep red color. Avoid steaks that are thin or have a lot of brown or gray spots.
  • Season the tuna steaks simply. Salt and pepper are all you need to bring out the natural flavor of the tuna. You can also add a little bit of garlic powder or paprika, if you like.
  • Sear the tuna steaks over high heat. This will create a nice crust on the outside of the steaks and help to keep them moist on the inside.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the tuna steaks to your desired doneness. For a rare tuna steak, cook it for about 2 minutes per side. For a medium-rare tuna steak, cook it for about 3 minutes per side. For a medium tuna steak, cook it for about 4 minutes per side. And for a well-done tuna steak, cook it for about 5 minutes per side.
  • Let the tuna steaks rest before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steaks, making them more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Char-grilled tuna is a delicious and healthy meal that can be enjoyed all year long. By following these tips, you can make sure that your char-grilled tuna steaks are cooked to perfection. So fire up your grill and give this recipe a try!
