Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 c dry milk powder
2 c coffee creamer powder
2 Tbsp cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp salt & a pinch of white pepper (option)
1/2 tsp ground cardamom (i did not have at this time)
2 c white sugar (or turbinado sugar, if preferred)
1 tsp vanilla powder
3 Tbsp instant black tea powder ( i used 100% instant reg. tea)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together all ingredients, mixing well. Put in an airtight container. Turn container from time to time to keep ingredients mixed well. I used a zip lock bag.
  • 2. Use 2 1/2 Tablespoons of mix per 12-14 oz of very hot water. Let steep for a minute or two before drinking. If you can't find black tea powder, just brew a cup of black tea and add 2 rounded tbsp of mix into the tea, stirring well. I like 3 heaping tablespoons in my cup.

Tips:

  • Use freshly brewed chai tea for the best flavor.
  • If you don't have a chai tea latte mix, you can make your own by simmering black tea, milk, spices like ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon, and a sweetener of your choice.
  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk or cream instead of skim milk.
  • Sweeten the latte to your taste. You can use sugar, honey, or a sugar-free sweetener.
  • For a foamy latte, use a milk frother or whisk the milk vigorously before adding it to the chai tea.
  • Garnish the latte with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.

Conclusion:

A chai tea latte is a delicious and comforting drink that can be enjoyed hot or cold. It's perfect for a quick breakfast, afternoon pick-me-up, or relaxing evening treat. With a few simple ingredients and a little time, you can easily make a chai tea latte at home that's just as good as anything you'd get from a coffee shop.
