1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups applesauce
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional
Cinnamon-sugar, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in applesauce.
