Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pkg spice cake mix
1 can(s) 16oz solid packed pumpkin
3 eggs
1/4 c butter, softened
1 1/2 containers (16 oz each) cream cheese frosting
1/3 c caramel ice cream topping
pecan halves for garnish

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 350F. Grease and flour 3 (9-inch) round cake pans. Combine cake mix, pumpkin, eggs and butter in large bowl; beat with electric mixer at medium speed 2 minutes. Divide batter evenly among prepared pans. Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpicks inserted into centers come out clean. Cool 5 minutes on wire racks; remove from pans and cool completely.
  • 2. Place one cake layer on serving plate; cover with frosting. Repeat layers, ending with frosting. Frost side of cake. Spread caramel topping over cake, letting some caramel drip down side. Garnish with pecan halves.

Tips:

  • To ensure your cake turns out perfectly, accurately measure all of your ingredients using a kitchen scale.
  • Make sure your butter and eggs are at room temperature before you begin baking. This will help the ingredients blend together smoothly and evenly.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
  • Bake the cake at the specified temperature and for the specified amount of time. Ovens can vary, so it is important to follow the recipe's instructions carefully.
  • To prevent the cake from sticking to the pan, grease and flour the pan before pouring in the batter.
  • Use a toothpick or skewer to test if the cake is done. Insert it into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting set properly.
  • If you are using a store-bought frosting, be sure to beat it until it is light and fluffy before spreading it on the cake.
  • Decorate the cake with your favorite toppings, such as sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh fruit.

Conclusion:

This Celebration Pumpkin Cake is a delicious and festive dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist, tender crumb and flavorful pumpkin spice, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. Follow the tips above to ensure that your cake turns out perfectly, and enjoy!
