Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling during the cooking process.
  • Use Fresh Vegetables: Fresh vegetables will give your stir-fry a more vibrant flavor and texture. If possible, try to buy organic vegetables to avoid pesticides and other chemicals.
  • Cut Vegetables Evenly: Cutting your vegetables evenly will help them cook evenly. This is especially important for vegetables that take longer to cook, such as carrots and broccoli.
  • Use a Wok or Large Skillet: A wok or large skillet will allow you to cook all of your ingredients at once. This will help you save time and prevent overcrowding, which can make your stir-fry soggy.
  • Heat Your Wok or Skillet Over High Heat: High heat will help to sear your vegetables and shrimp, giving them a nice caramelized flavor. Make sure your wok or skillet is hot enough before adding your ingredients.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Wok or Skillet: Overcrowding the wok or skillet will prevent your ingredients from cooking evenly. If you have a lot of ingredients, cook them in batches.
  • Stir-Fry in Small Batches: Stir-frying in small batches will help to prevent overcrowding and ensure that your ingredients cook evenly.
  • Use a Light Hand with the Sauce: Too much sauce can make your stir-fry soggy. Add the sauce a little at a time, until you reach the desired flavor.
  • Serve Immediately: Stir-fries are best served immediately, while they are still hot and fresh.
