Tips:
- For the perfect pie crust, use a combination of butter and shortening. The butter will add flavor, while the shortening will help keep the crust flaky. - Chill your pie dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will help prevent the dough from shrinking in the oven. - Use a sharp knife to slice your apples thinly. This will help them cook evenly. - If you don't have maple syrup, you can substitute honey or brown sugar. - For a sweeter pie, add a cup of granulated sugar to the apple filling. - If you want a more tart pie, add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the apple filling. - Don't overcook the pie. The apples should be tender but still hold their shape. - Serve the pie warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Conclusion:
This caramelized maple apple pie with candied bacon crumble is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert. The combination of sweet apples, maple syrup, and candied bacon is sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a special treat, give this pie a try!
